In June 2022, Bluprint UK celebrated 10 years since our first LMC Jackets were sold. After formalising and establishing relationships with suppliers, we launched LMC Jackets at Drupa 2012.
On discovering LMC Jackets, Managing Director Robb Harman says, "it was the product I'd been looking for for 25 years." We were very impressed with the quality of production and packaging, and realised that we had found the perfect after market alternative to OEM suppliers.
The orders quickly followed. The first of 3,600 successful installations was in Germany, with impression cylinder jackets on a Heidelberg Speedmaster 74.
Global Impact
10 years on and LMC Jackets have taken the global printing market by storm. Offering the guaranteed print quality of OEM jackets, while saving printers money time after time. Since then we've shipped LMC Jackets to 47 countries in 6 continents. From installing jackets a 30 minute drive away at Solopress, to sending repeat orders 10,000 miles away to New Caledonia.
Ongoing Innovation
We've tried to keep moving forward across this decade, always pushing for more from LMC Jackets. Working very closely with the manufacturer, we have improved the coating surface to peak levels, with focus on surface bonding, coating performance and ink resistance.
Our offering has increased too. We started with just a few core trnaser and impression cylinder jackets, before expanding to newer models including Heielberg SX/XL and Ryobi 920, and now the latest Reversal Cylinder Jackets. To date, we have served printers with 77 different LMC Jacket specifications to suit the needs of their press.

Serving Customers
Some of our greatest memories are the times we have saved printers from long delays and downtime by providing super quick service. One of our team once drove the full length of England to a printer in Berwick-upon-Tweed after an unexpected smash on their Heidelberg SM102 damaged impression and transfer jackets.
We're very proud of our team. Take our engineer Terry, who was marooned in USA as Hurricane Michael ravaged the East Coast. It goes to show the lengths that our team are willing to go to serve printers, dealers and engineers around the world.
The network of distributors around the world have played a vital role in the success of LMC Jackets. Our friends in South Africa described their experience selling LMC Jackets: "The simplicity of installation, ease of cleaning and performance of the jacket really help to sell the jackets."
In 2018 LMC Jackets began to take on a life of its own, so we launched its very own website to support our dealers and printers alike, helping them find the models they need, and providing guidance with ongoing care and maintenance.
